Let’s get lost in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is all about having a good time! Its sights and lights and everything is exactly there to ensure you that! Las Vegas has a famous boulevard called The Strip which is lined by resort hotels and casinos. The ultimate escape, there are a lot of clubs you can party in, you can get drunk, get married (they say someone is getting married here every 5 seconds for a no-fuss, inexpensive wedding), there are dispensaries for legal weed if that’s your thing, but then, here are some of the wholesome things you can do/ watch out for while lost in the city:

  1. Conquer a slot machine. Well, 18 dollars and 75 cents isn’t much but take note I was only able to bet a total of 2 dollars. yey!!!! More money to play more slots!!! Hashtag: smalltimeroller. You can go in and out of the hotels with casinos and find your spot.

  2. Watch a show. Out of the lot, I mean a lot of amazing shows to choose from (comedy shows, The Beatles Love, Britney Spears, Celine Dion),  we chose “O” by Cirque du Soleil. (There are also numerous Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas) It was a jaw-dropping water-themed acrobatic show with some diving and synchronized swimming… they had a giant pool on stage. I truly enjoyed it! It had many good reviews online, but be sure to research, read concepts to check which show will be the right one for you, or just go!

  3. Watch the volcano eruption at The Mirage! The Mirage was just a little walk from our hotel. So, when the volcano erupted, we were there to document it in time! You could hear some drums, reminiscent of the movie Jumanji, and then there’s lava flowing and fire! It is a free attraction (just along the street). It erupts 8, 9 and 10 pm. If eruption (haha), is your thing… go on!

  4. Watch the Fountains at Bellagio. These fountains are a classic on the strip, remind me of the film, Ocean’s Eleven where Danny Ocean and his all-star team rob the vault of this hotel, and in the ending there’s a scene where they just watch the fountain and enjoy the classical music. πŸ™‚ You would really really enjoy these fountains. The water shoots right up there in the air maybe 20 + floors up!

  • During our stay in Las Vegas we stayed at The Venetian. The rooms are amazing, their standard rooms look like suites. Okay so I wasn’t very amazed with the Venice Hotel outside simply because I’ve been to Venice, but how they copied it seemed very impressive though. Haha. They have a Grand canal and the clouds in the skies above move, then there’s the Gondoliers.

    6. … other world iconic monument replicas can be found in Vegas too! I found the statue of Liberty, the Eiffel tower, Fontana de Trevi… goodness gracious, holy guacamole. so then you can party in New York, Rome, Paris, Egypt… where do you want to wake up? I bought the flavoured iced alcohol drinks in a tall glass and walk around the strip sipping a straw from it, traveling from one monument to monument. It was really cool and one of the nice things I enjoyed about Vegas. After seeing them all you can head to Fremont Street and check more lights!

    7. Check out the food scene in Las Vegas! There is never a shortage of good food in Vegas, and the dining options around the strip is an adventure in itself! The Bacchanal in the Cesar’s Palace is a famous buffet (didn’t try it though because I was on diet and the word buffet is making me anxious) and then if you’re a burger taster like me, you can try Gordon Ramsay’s burger at the Planet Hollywood.

    8. Post infront the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. Everything in the strip says “Las Vegas” but this welcome sign is a little extra.

Iconic Las Vegas sign, which also has its charm in the morning.

    9. Shop in the outlet stores. Use your casino earned money to shop! Nearby would be the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets. We just took a taxi from the hotel to get there, and we spent some hours because the prices were so good! There is also the South Premium outlets. The difference between the two according to s some shoppers would be that the South premium outlets  are enclosed, while the north is outdoors and has more shops.

Your wallet will hate you for visiting any of the Premium Outlets in Vegas

    10. Take a day trip to the Grand canyon! πŸ™‚ This is a very popular thing to do since Arizona is a few hours away from Vegas. It is truly beautiful, and no pictures could justify how amazing the Grand Canyon is!

Do: Go to the Grand Canyon on a day trip if you’ve never been there before

Enjoy your wholesome trip to Vegas!
